Tucker will be teaching a 3-night retreat with Jeremy Graves, bestselling author of The Mind Illuminated, July 30 – Aug 2. You can join from anywhere with a stable Internet connection. If you’re in or near Australia, New Zealand, or East Asia, click here for a retreat that weekend in your time zone.

How Does an Online Retreat Work?

We’ll have frequent group online meditations, a daily dharma talk, at least one scheduled interview with Tucker or Jeremy over the weekend, and office hours where you can meet with either of them. We’ll send a schedule about a week beforehand, once we know how many people are coming. We’ll begin on Thursday after work in your time zone, and we’ll conclude in the early afternoon Sunday in Europe and East Coast US, maybe late morning in West Coast US.

Can I Come for Just a Part?

Yes, but we might not be able to schedule one-on-one interviews for people who aren’t attending the whole time.

How Much Does It Cost?

The retreat is paid only on your donations, but there is a Flake Tax to ensure people who are registering actually intend to come. So it costs USD$100 to register. If you attend the whole time and would like to donate less than $100 for the teachings, your registration is refundable (minus any transaction costs). If you’d normally donate more than $100, of course you’re welcome to contribute more. This is the traditional Buddhist practice of Dana, which we’ll talk more about at some point on the retreat.

I Live with Other People, So I Won’t Be Able To Keep Perfect Noble Silence.

That’s OK, just do your best, unless you’re lucky enough to be able to, say, rent a cabin with wifi during the retreat. We’ll talk about how to interact with family/roommates at the opening dharma talk.

How Do I Register?

There’s just two steps to sign up. First, fill out this Google Form, and second, send payment.

If your money is in USD, please Venmo tucker-peck. If your money isn’t in USD, please send TransferWise to my email address (my name, with a dot in the middle, at Gmail; the other questions on the transfer form should disappear when you enter my email and name), or message me if you’d like to pay on Revolut.

You can use PayPal, but please double-check that the transfer says “friends and family,” or it will charge a nonrefundable fee, and please don’t use the pay button on this site. PayPal also has terrible transfer rates if your money isn’t in USD, so you’ll save a decent amount with Transferwise or Revolut.
