Tucker is a licensed clinical psychologist in Arizona (and hopes to be licensed soon in Washington State), and in some cases he is able to provide therapy services over secure video chat for people outside of Tucson. Sessions last apx 50 minutes and generally cost $120. Tucker is in-network with most insurance companies in the US, so it may be possible to bill this through your insurance. For instance, Blue Cross, Tricare, and MHN/Ambetter/Healthnet all sometimes allow telehealth, and Medicare may allow it for people who live in sufficiently rural places. You’d need to contact your insurance company to check on this.
Psychotherapy is very heavily regulated, and if you are in the US or Canada, online therapy is probably regulated both by the laws of Arizona and by the laws of your state or province. So depending on where you live, there’s a chance that online therapy might actually not be legal. Please contact Tucker if you’d like more information.
